Blurry nighttime illumination |
Overexposure of lights causes blur |
When taking photos of night-time scenery, any kind of flashing illumination will tend to come out blurred. This is caused by overexposure of blinking lights. This effect cannot be remedied with a digital camera, but you can compensate for it. If you trigger the flash outside its effective range, everything out-of-range will be underexposed, and the blurring will be reduced. Keep in mind, however, that illuminated showcases and neon signs can also create unexpectedly charming photographs when shot without a flash, creating a special blurred effect. |
